KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Oil and Gas Development Corporation Sdn Bhd (SOGDC) officially declared the Sogip Port in Sipitang today, alongside the signing of a Port Concession Agreement with the Sabah Ports Authority and Sogip Port Sdn Bhd.

The agreement signing ceremony was witnessed by Deputy Chief Minister cum Public Works Minister Datuk Shahelmey Yahya.

Strategically positioned to drive Sabah's economic growth, Sogip Port is poised to enhance the state's role as a key hub for maritime trade, the oil and gas industry, and heavy industries.

The port will feature advanced infrastructure, including general cargo, liquid cargo, and dry cargo jetties, alongside facilities such as the Petronas Jetty and a control tower to streamline operations.
