KOTA KINABALU: Midas Events Management will hold its 10th Sabah Oil and Gas Conference Exhibition (SOGCE’23) here next month.
According to organising chairperson Dolly Jimayol, it will be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) on June 8-9.
She said the event, themed “Energy security and sustainability in oil, gas and energy in Sabah”, will be graced by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
The conference will feature high-impact paper presentations and plenary sessions by experts in the oil, gas and energy industry, representing local and international organisations, she said, adding there will be a total 35 speakers, including moderators.
“This conference will focus firstly on the overview of the oil, gas and energy industry, followed by a paper on how the National Energy Policy (NEP) transformed the Malaysian Energy Landscape, especially in new growth areas, that will benefit industry players,” she said.
Dolly said the exhibition would showcase the latest equipment, technology and solutions, to demonstrate competitive advantages and competencies that include international and regional energy companies, services providers and oil companies.
She said SOGCE 2023 is also featuring SOGCE x SPE KLS NextGen Energy Leader Programme.
Among the sponsors of the event are Sabah Energy Corporation and Asian Supply Base, Hibiscus Petroleum, Eternity Mode, Secov Engineering and SOGSC, DELEUM and EPOMS, and SOGDC.
Other organisations are encouraged to send their representatives to the conference and visit the exhibition activities. Entrance for the exhibition is free. Students from various schools, including NGOs, are also invited to the event.
SOGCE is the only oil, gas and energy conference and exhibition designed to provide industry platform for oil, has and energy companies to meet and discuss pivotal industry issues to help grow and explore opportunities in the Sabah oil, gas and energy industry.
